September 2007: CSX2287 returns
After painstaking work by racingicons.com (who supplied these photographs), historic Shelby Cobra Daytona coupe CSX2287, the first of its kind, is at last ready to meet the public. The goal for 2287 was not a "restoration", but rather a "preservation". After a very sympathetic cleaning and freshening of mechanical, electrical and fluid systems, the car once again runs and drives like a World Champion.
