Dearborn, Michigan, 14 September 2007:
Development work for the Shelby GT500KR continues at Ford's Dearborn Development Center, just south of Ford World Headquarters.
On Tuesday, September 14th, automotive legend Carroll Shelby visited the facility and had a chance to experience the progress first hand in a development test mule.
Shelby GT500KR suspension, tyre and vehicle tuning will continue through the autumn, with production expected in the spring. The supercharged 5.4-litre V-8-powered Shelby GT500KR will be the fastest production Mustang ever built. Pricing of the new, limited-edition, KR, which was unveiled this past spring at the New York International Auto Show, has not yet been confirmed.
