This is your chance to own the very last Abbey Panels-chassised GT40 sold by JWAE.  Yes, it’s the beautiful 1086, about as close to 1075 as you’re likely to get, and still wearing the Gulf livery JWAE gave it when new.  More photos here.

Sometimes we become aware of other GT40s which are for sale, but which for various reasons are not being publicised.  If you are interested, please contact us.
From time to time we are asked whether we know of any original GT40s for sale.  So, we are now including information on those we currently know of, and we welcome your input if you think that you can point us in the direction of any cars we are missing.  We plan to include only “official” cars, and our definition of that is that they must fall into one of the following categories: (1) cars built on original chassis that were manufactured by one of Ford’s official suppliers before the end of 1969, (2) cars built by Safir Engineering, (3) cars from the current “continuation” series of Hitech/Superformance origin, and (4) cars built around Tennant Panels tubs.  At our discretion - hey, this is our site - we will include other cars, eg Sbarros, if we feel that they are good enough to warrant it.  Caveat emptor!  Because we are unable to check out the cars offered for sale, we can’t confirm their providence, identity, specification or condition, so we won’t be held responsible should you buy a car you ought not to have bought.  We won’t knowingly include fakes, but, if you are planning to buy a GT40, you really should have it examined and authenticated by an expert on the marque;  Ronnie Spain is the only name that springs to mind!  The cost of sending him to look at a car is a drop in the ocean compared with the prices of these beauties.  All cars illustrated in the “For Sale” section are shown by arrangement with the vendors, and most of the photographs have been kindly supplied by them, too.  It would be nice if, were you to buy one, you were to tell the vendor where you saw it for sale!
